barryThis is going to be very brief! Owing to player unavailability, we arrived at Brookland mustering just 8 players plus an umpire that then became 9 players and no umpire. Big T (acting captain) won the toss and decided to bat first, Baz was caught behind off the 5th ball and apart from Shaun who was bowled for 36 in the 14th over, nobody else reached double figures, Joey finishing 7 not out and the Wood had posted just 65 for 8 in 19.1 overs in 75 minutes.

Tea was declined at this stage and the Brookland innings began with Roachy and Big T sharing the bowling honours. The only wicket to be taken was by Joey in his only over – 45 for 1 off 7 and then Brookland reached their target in the next over having taken about 35 minutes and just 8 overs to overhaul us.One outing that’s probably best forgotten but that could well make the KVL handbook for lowest totals for this season.
